Non-Harassment Policy

At TheUserGroup.org (TUG), we are dedicated to fostering an environment of respect, inclusivity, and safety for all members, whether they are participating in our online forums or attending our in-person events. Our community thrives on open dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect. As such, we have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, including but not limited to:

  • Online Harassment:
  • Unwelcome comments, messages, or behavior in our online forums or other digital platforms, including social media pages.
  • Posting or sharing of offensive, derogatory, or inappropriate content, including images or videos.
  • Bullying, intimidation, or stalking of other members in online interactions.
  • Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • In-Person Harassment:
  • Unwelcome advances, comments, gestures, or physical contact at our in-person events, meetings, or conferences.
  • Verbal abuse, derogatory remarks, or offensive jokes targeted at individuals or groups.
  • Intimidation, threats, or any form of aggressive behavior that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment.
  • Any conduct that violates the dignity or personal boundaries of others.


Consequences:
Violations of our non-harassment policy will result in appropriate action, which may include but is not limited to:

  • Removal of offending content from online platforms.
  • Suspension or termination of forum privileges.
  • Expulsion and potential ban from in-person events or conferences.
  • Legal action if harassment constitutes a violation of applicable laws.


Reporting Procedures:
If you experience or witness harassment in any form while participating in TUG events or online activities, we encourage you to report it promptly to TUG's Association Management or a TUG Board Member. Reports can be made anonymously if preferred. Our team is committed to taking all reports seriously and conducting a thorough investigation into each incident.

By upholding these standards of behavior, we can foster a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute to our shared goals and initiatives.
